Christspiracy is a documentary that examines the ethics of how humans treat animals and the profit-driven industries that exploit them. The film uses a historical lens to explain the current global state of these interactions and explores the topic through the perspective of various world religions. To investigate whether a spiritual or ethical justification for killing animals exists, the filmmakers spent seven years interviewing shamans, farmers, archeologists, and theologians from different faiths across the globe.
The film was directed by Kameron Waters and Kip Andersen, who also co-wrote the screenplay. This project follows Andersen's 2014 film Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret and precedes his 2024 work Join the Club. Produced in the United States by Burning Boat Productions and A.U.M. Films, the documentary features Andersen and Waters alongside contributors such as Andrew Linzey, Deborah Rooke, Michael B. Beckwith, and James D. Tabor. With a runtime of 111 minutes, the movie has received a very high audience rating of 9.2/10 on TMDB, though this is based on a small number of 11 votes.
