Vilma is a 45-year-old woman living in a luxury beachfront home in a high-end tourist region of Costa Rica. Having spent her youth facing various limitations, she now enjoys a privileged lifestyle funded by an American partner who lives far away. The conflict arises when her partner fails to arrive for his expected annual visit and ceases all communication. As her financial resources dwindle, Vilma must find a way to survive in her surroundings without the support of the man who provided her wealth.
