Interface

Interface is an animated science fiction film centered on an elderly man named Henry and his shape-shifting companion, Mischief. The pair travel through a fractured and decaying version of Canada from the 1940s and 50s. This surreal environment was created by a fictional version of the Philadelphia Experiment, resulting in a reality where cosmic horror and historical nostalgia coexist. As they navigate this glitching landscape, the story examines themes of identity, memory, and the search for meaning within a collapsing universe.

Directed and written by Justin Tomchuk, the film is based on a popular web series. Tomchuk also provides the voice for Mischief. The supporting voice cast includes Christa Elliott as Henryk's Daughter, Yoshi Ando as Octopus Chef, Phil Jamesson as Hazmatz Mascot, The Minute Hour as Ringmaster, and Bob Grossi as Flying Head. The movie features lo-fi animation and a soundtrack composed by Hexsystem. Released on November 20, 2022, the film has a runtime of 117 minutes.
