What's left behind the scenes
- Scarlett Johansson was originally supposed to voice Cora, but for unknown reasons, she was replaced by Kristen Bell.
- The character of Astro Boy has existed for half a century.
- One of the characters, a scientist in the laboratory, resembles Astro Boy creator Osamu Tezuka: he wears horn-rimmed glasses and a beret.
- In 1999, Sony Pictures Entertainment acquired the rights from Tezuka Productions to produce a live-action film based on the Astro Boy manga. The film was to feature live actors and computer graphics, with production planned in collaboration with The Jim Henson Company. However, no news about the project has surfaced to date.
- In the headquarters of the "rebel robots," an image of V.I. Lenin with the inscription “Lenin” can be seen among the posters.
