- Saoirse Ronan, Allison Williams, Emmy Rossum, Margot Robbie, and Kate Mara auditioned for the role of Sue Storm (Invisible Woman). Ultimately, the role went to Mara.
- Miles Teller, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Anton Yelchin, and Jack O'Connell auditioned for the role of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic). Adrian Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers were also considered for the role. Ultimately, the role went to Teller.
