The Gate of Murder

The upcoming mystery film The Gate of Murder follows Kazuyuki Tajima, whose life takes a negative turn after he befriends a primary school peer named Osamu Kuramochi. Following a series of personal tragedies, including a death in the family and his parents' separation, Tajima is forced to leave his hometown due to spreading rumors. Despite his repeated efforts to distance himself and restart his life, Kuramochi continues to resurface.

Directed by Ko Kanai and produced by KADOKAWA in Japan, the movie stars Kouhei Matsushita as Tajima and Kento Yamazaki as Kuramochi, with Noriko Eguchi playing Kaede. The film is scheduled for release on February 19, 2027.
