Bliss: Beyond the Edge of Time is a science fiction animation from Taiwan. The film consists of several short stories created by six different directors, with each segment inspired by a line of the I Ching. These narratives draw on Taiwanese folk culture to explore the intersection of reality and science fiction, blending faith and emotion with a contrast between tradition and the future. The overlapping visions eventually lead to a cold, fantastical romance set within an animated void.
The project was directed by Tree Muta, Leo Liao, Jade Lien, Chiu Li-wei, Jo-Jo Hwang, and Kevin Geiger. For Tree Muta, this film follows Welcome to Dolly's House, and for Chiu Li-wei, it comes after Pigsy. The screenplay was written by Tree Muta, Kevin Geiger, and Tabitha Song. The voice cast includes Sophie Chiang, Chen Chen-yu, Jico Lin, Chen Yi-gyen, and Chen Yan-jun, who appear across various segments including Whispers in the Void, The Ship of Theseus, and The Last Faith. The film was released on August 16, 2026, with a total runtime of 95 minutes.
