Baffled!

Tom Kovack is a race car driver who experiences strange visions while competing, and one of them sends him off the track in a serious crash. A woman named Michele Brent, who studies paranormal phenomena, becomes convinced that what he saw was real and that he may be able to foresee events before they happen. Together they travel from New York to an English country house that appeared in his vision, where they find themselves drawn into a mystery involving a young girl in danger and a murder connected to events long past, leaving Tom to rely on his visions to confront what is happening.

The film was directed by Philip Leacock, who also served as producer. It was his second feature, arriving in 1973, eighteen years after his first, the 1955 film Escapade, and much of his working career had been in television. Leonard Nimoy plays Tom Kovack, with Susan Hampshire as Michele Brent. The supporting cast includes Rachel Roberts, Vera Miles, Jewel Blanch and Valerie Taylor. Made for television in the United Kingdom and the United States, it runs 99 minutes and blends horror, mystery, science fiction and thriller elements.

The film holds a rating of 5.6 out of 10 on IMDb, based on 588 votes, and a rating of 5.6 out of 10 on TMDB, from a much smaller number of 22 votes. Both audiences place it around the middle of the scale, and the limited number of votes on TMDB means that figure reflects a small sample rather than wide agreement.
