Enter the Ninja

Cole, a Westerner who has completed training in the Japanese martial art of ninjutsu, travels to the Philippines at the request of Frank, an old friend from his army days. Frank and his wife Mary Ann are under pressure from a wealthy landowner, Venarius, who wants their property and is using thugs to force them out. When Cole steps in to help, Venarius brings in Hasegawa, a fellow student of ninjutsu who resents Cole for having been accepted into the discipline at all, setting up a confrontation between the two.

The film was directed by Menahem Golan, who had previously made Diamonds and The Apple, and who later directed The Delta Force. It was written by Dick Desmond and produced by Golan, Yoram Globus and Judd Bernard for the Cannon Group, with a budget of two million dollars. Franco Nero plays Cole, and Sho Kosugi appears as Hasegawa. Susan George, Christopher George, Alex Courtney and Will Hare round out the cast. The film's ratings sit in the middle range, with an IMDb score of 5.3 from roughly 6,200 votes and a TMDB score of 5.5 from 142 votes. A critics' rating of 5.1 from seven reviews places professional and audience assessments close together.
