Bear

Bear is a Ukrainian drama centered on Lizzie, a publishing editor whose birthday begins with a professional crisis that puts her job at risk. As she travels home, a sudden act of violence occurs, shifting the trajectory of her life and leading toward an irreversible conclusion.

The short film was directed by Maksym Kashchenko and written by Daryna Puzyrina, who also stars in the lead role as Lizzie. The cast includes Anton Artiomov as the boyfriend, Shynder Yaroslav as the boss, and Ruslan Miroshnychenko as the stranger. Produced by Oksana Tarnavska, the production has a runtime of seven minutes. This project marks the first film in the chronological list of Kashchenko's directorial work, preceding the 2026 film Soulmates.
