Isle Navigator: The Buried Baby

This Taiwanese animated film follows a child trapped deep underground who seeks a way to restore his mother's memories after they were lost during an earthquake. The story explores the bond between the two characters and the child's efforts to recover what was lost.

The movie was produced by Chimney Animation and directed by Fish Wang and Yang Ya-ting. It serves as a segment of the animated anthology Isle Navigator. Before its wider release on August 1, 2026, the project premiered as a standalone short film at the 30th Fantasia International Film Festival, where it was entered into the competition for the Satoshi Kon Award.
