Stolen Birthday

Stolen Birthday is a drama about Ronnie, a middle-aged man who spends his birthday dinner at a small diner with his mother, Julie. While the meal feels intimate and genuine to Ronnie, the reactions of other patrons reveal that his companion is not actually there. The dinner is an imagined sanctuary created by Ronnie, who is homeless and struggling with his mental health. As the fantasy dissolves, he is forced to face the painful reality and loneliness he had been avoiding.

The film was written and directed by Noah Bennish and produced by Yehonathan Kleinerman. Aaron Brandon Brown stars as the son, appearing alongside Diana M. Collins, who plays the mother. The supporting cast includes John Lewandowski as the manager and Lexus Castano as a waitress, with Joshua Rich and Vivia Bright appearing as customers in the diner. This short film has a runtime of 11 minutes.
