The Widower

The Widower is a drama about Mirsad, a 62-year-old electrician living in a patriarchal society. Following the sudden death of his wife, Enisa, Mirsad must navigate a new daily routine in solitude while his adult children live independently. As he processes his loss, he reflects on his marriage and realizes he failed to provide his wife with the affection and care she deserved. These emotional struggles are compounded by a strained relationship with his son, which declines further after Mirsad learns that his son shares a home with a male friend.

The film was written and directed by Hari Šečić, who also served as a producer alongside Kerim Mašović. Produced by Udruženje za umjetnost, kulturu i sport Spektar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the movie has a runtime of 102 minutes. It was released on August 15, 2026.
