Foxfire

Foxfire follows a restless drifter, Legs Sadovsky, who arrives at a high school and upends the lives of four classmates. After a teacher who has been harassing female students is beaten up, the girls are suspended, and they gravitate toward an abandoned house where their very different personalities harden into a close friendship. Calling themselves Foxfire, they begin pushing back against the men who mistreat them, and their rebellion gradually spins past anything they intended.

Annette Haywood-Carter directed the film, her first, from a screenplay by Elizabeth White. The cast is led by Angelina Jolie as Legs, alongside Hedy Burress as Maddy Wirtz, Jenny Lewis, Jenny Shimizu, Sarah Rosenberg and Peter Facinelli. It runs 102 minutes and was produced by Rysher Entertainment with Red Mullet Productions and Chestnut Hill Productions. Its later ratings reflect a modest reception: on IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from around 10,000 votes, on TMDB 6 out of 10 from roughly 157 votes, and the critics' rating stands at 5.6 out of 10 from 15 reviews, slightly below the audience scores.
