Darklight

A secret order known as the Faith has spent centuries hunting monstrous beings. Its members capture an ancient demoness, erase her memory with a powerful spell and give her the life of an ordinary young woman, unaware of what she once was. When a researcher's experiments turn him into a demon who spreads a deadly plague, the order needs the mystical power she carries, and an agent is sent to train her to use it. To stop the creature, she must confront the past she cannot remember.

The film is directed by Bill Platt, who wrote the screenplay with Chris Regina, with Phillip J. Roth and Jeffery Beach producing. Shiri Appleby plays the central role, alongside Richard Burgi, John de Lancie, David Hewlett, Ross Manarchy and Darin Angelov. It is a television production made in the United States and Bulgaria, running 90 minutes across the action, fantasy and science fiction genres.

Released in 2004, the film drew limited enthusiasm from viewers. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.3 from around 1,200 votes, and on TMDB its average is 5.1 from a much smaller group of 32 votes, a difference that reflects how few people have rated it there rather than a real split in opinion.
