The film received 17 nominations at the 29th Annual Goya Awards, presented by the Spanish Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences.
Aerial shots at the beginning and throughout the film were digitized by Israel Millán from photographs by Héctor Garrido. This photographer published a book, "Fractal Harmony of Doñana and Wetlands," which includes some photos used in the film. The photographs correspond to various wetlands in Andalusia, particularly Doñana National Park and Salinas de San Fernando in Cádiz.
Certain shots in the film are based on photographs by Atín Ayah, whose work impressed the filmmakers when they discovered it at a retrospective exhibition.
