Set in early twentieth-century New Mexico, this drama follows Brian Talbot, a businessman wrongly convicted of murder. As he is being prepared for hanging, he accidentally causes the death of his executioner. This event leads to a second trial overseen by a young judge who had previously expressed doubt regarding the circumstantial evidence used in the first conviction.
