Silent Trigger

Waxman, a former special forces soldier, now works as a sniper for a covert government agency, carrying out assassinations under the direction of a handler. Paired with Clegg, a younger and more ruthless operative, he takes on a mission that goes badly wrong. Both are left exposed, and the agency that employed them turns against them. A later assignment brings the two together again in a half-finished San Francisco skyscraper, the Algonquin, where they wait through the night for a target to appear at dawn. Waxman's doubts about the work, and the intentions of those directing it, shape what follows.

The film is a 1996 action thriller directed by Russell Mulcahy, the eighth of the fourteen features he has directed and the one that followed The Shadow, with Resurrection coming next. Sergio Altieri wrote the screenplay, and Nicolas Clermont and Silvio Muraglia produced. Dolph Lundgren leads as Waxman, with Gina Bellman as Clegg, Conrad Dunn as Klein, Christopher Heyerdahl as O'Hara, Emma Stevens and Alexandria Haber. It was made for about 15 million dollars as a co-production between the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.

On IMDb the film holds a critics' rating of 4.4 out of 10 from five reviews, while on TMDB it sits at 5.2 out of 10 from 122 votes. Both figures place it as a modestly received genre entry rather than a widely praised one.
