The Last Seduction

Bridget Gregory makes off with a fortune in cash that her husband, Clay, raised through a drug deal, then goes into hiding in a small town outside New York. There she becomes involved with Mike Swale, a man who falls for her completely, while she sees him mainly as a tool for dealing with her husband and keeping the money. Clay, for his part, wants it back and sets out after her.

John Dahl directed the film from a screenplay by Steve Barancik, with Jonathan Shestack producing. It followed Dahl's Kill Me Again and Red Rock West and preceded Unforgettable, Rounders, Joy Ride and The Great Raid. Linda Fiorentino plays Bridget, Peter Berg plays Mike, and Bill Pullman plays Clay. Bill Nunn, J.T. Walsh and Dean Norris are also in the cast, which numbers 23 credited performers.

Made for about 3 million dollars, the film took roughly 6 million dollars worldwide, a modest return against its cost. On IMDb it holds 7 out of 10 from around 28,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.7 out of 10 from far fewer votes. A critics' rating of 8 out of 10 from 50 reviews places it above both audience scores.
