Raw Deal

Joe Sullivan is a prisoner who was betrayed by his former associate, Rick Coyle, a ruthless criminal who framed him to avoid arrest and still owes him a large sum of money. Rick orchestrates a prison break for Joe, secretly hoping he will be killed during the attempt. However, Joe survives the escape with the help of his girlfriend Pat and a legal caseworker named Ann. As Joe seeks revenge and his money, Rick attempts to eliminate him using a hired killer and by taking Ann hostage.

Directed by Anthony Mann, this crime thriller is the fourth of 20 films he directed, following Railroaded! and preceding Border Incident. The film stars Dennis O'Keefe, Claire Trevor, Marsha Hunt, John Ireland, Raymond Burr, and Curt Conway. Produced by Edward Small through Edward Small Productions and Eagle-Lion Films, the movie has a runtime of 79 minutes.
