Short description
Hayley’s a smart, charming teenage girl. Jeff’s a handsome, smooth fashion photographer. An Internet chat, a coffee shop meet-up, an impromptu fashion shoot back at Jeff’s place. Jeff thinks it’s his lucky night. He’s in for a surprise.

- In English internet slang, the term “Hard candy” refers to a minor girl.
- Elliot Page (formerly known as Ellen Page) almost missed out on the role of the young Haley because his head had been shaved specifically for a role in another film. After the audition, he decided to grow his hair out.
- Filming of the movie took 18 days.
- Jeff's apartment was converted into a cafe where the opening scenes were filmed. In turn, the last scenes shot were those of Haley going to the bathroom to change into a t-shirt.
- The idea for the film came to producer David Higgins after he read that there had already been several cases in Japan where young Japanese women specifically tracked down men who preyed on underage girls and caught them in the act.
