Inspector Beck and his team investigate a smuggling ring moving the explosive chemical substance cesium 133. A criminal organization from the east exploits refugees by promising them residency in Sweden in exchange for transporting the hazardous material. While the investigation unfolds, Beck's colleague Larsson faces a personal crisis after hitting a young girl with his car. The search for the child's parents eventually reveals a link between the accident and the smuggling case.
