- Dave Boll wanted to cast Ron Perlman for the role of Uncle Dave, but ultimately chose Dave Foley.
- According to director Uwe Boll, major agencies did not want their actors to appear in this film. Verne Troyer, Dave Foley, Larry Thomas, and J.K. Simmons responded to the casting call against the wishes of their agents.
