Venus in Furs

A jazz musician discovers the body of a young woman washed up on a beach. He recalls seeing her at a party the previous night, where he witnessed her being taken by a wealthy man and his friends. After fleeing the scene, he later encounters a woman who looks exactly like the victim, who returns to seek revenge against those responsible for the murder.

Directed by Jesús Franco, this horror thriller is the third of 21 films in his chronological body of work, following Marquis de Sade: Justine and preceding Kiss Me Monster. The screenplay was written by Franco along with Malvin Wald and Milo G. Cuccia, and the film was produced by Harry Alan Towers. The cast features James Darren as Jimmy Logan, Maria Rohm as Wanda Reed / Venus, and Barbara McNair as Rita, with appearances by Klaus Kinski, Dennis Price, and Margaret Lee.

The film was a joint production between Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Based on user feedback, it has received mixed ratings, holding a 5.6 on IMDb from 2,400 votes and a 5.4 on TMDB from 58 votes.
