Susan and Lorenzo Vega have been married for five years, and the spark between them has faded as Lorenzo, a chemical engineer, spends more and more time on his work. When Susan longs aloud for a more attentive husband, her guardian angel appears to her alone, taking the form of a film star she admires. He advises her to take a greater interest in Lorenzo's career, so she agrees to join him on a camping trip where he intends to test a new insecticide he has developed. The outing, which she had hoped would feel like a second honeymoon, turns into a succession of mishaps instead.
Alexander Hall directed the comedy, working from a screenplay by Helen Deutsch. It was Hall's first film in five years, following Up Front, and came roughly fifteen years after Here Comes Mr. Jordan. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, then married in real life, play the couple, with James Mason as the angel and Louis Calhern, John Emery and John Hoyt in supporting roles; thirty-eight cast members are credited in all. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer produced the film, which runs ninety-one minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6 out of 10 from around 1,400 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 6.9 out of 10 from a much smaller number of votes.
