Short description

This drama documentary explores the experiences of homeless children who have severed ties with their families. The film examines how these youths form their own groups to endure the challenges of surviving in an urban environment.

Directed and written by Ciro Durán, this production followed his 1968 film Aquileo Venganza. Produced by Joyce Ventura and created through a collaboration between companies in Colombia and France, the film features the voice of Carlos Muñoz Sánchez as the narrator. The movie received several accolades between 1977 and 1979, including a Golden Owl at the 4th Film Festival of the Colombian Institute of Culture, a Silver Dove at the Leipzig Film Festival, and a Fipresci Prize at the San Sebastián Film Festival. It was also selected for the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 1978 and earned a Golden Columbus Jury Prize at the 4th Ibero-American Film Festival of Huelva.
