Andre Allen became famous through a trilogy of hit comedies about a talking bear, but he now wants to be known for something more serious. Days before his wedding to reality television personality Erica Long, he spends a day in New York with Chelsea Brown, a journalist writing a profile of him. The two travel around the city together, and Andre reflects on the career that made him a star, the direction he wants his life to take, and the choices he has made along the way.

Chris Rock directed the film and wrote its screenplay. It is his second feature as director, following Head of State in 2003, and it preceded Misty Green in 2026. Rock leads the cast as Andre Allen, with Rosario Dawson as Chelsea Brown, JB Smoove, Gabrielle Union, Romany Malco and Anders Holm among the 45 credited cast members. Scott Rudin and Eli Bush produced.

Made for 12 million dollars, the film took in 26 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.4 out of 10 from 28,000 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.1 out of 10 from 504 votes. A film critics' rating of 7.2 out of 10 from 182 reviews places it above both audience scores.
