Despicable Me 3

Gru and his wife Lucy work for the Anti-Villain League, hunting super-criminals while raising their three adopted daughters. When the former 1980s child star Balthazar Bratt steals a huge diamond and escapes, the couple are fired for the failure. Gru then learns he has a twin brother, Dru, whose invitation draws the family to a lavish estate and to a reunion with the Minions that tests whether Gru will return to his old life of crime.

Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin directed; the two had previously worked together on Minions, and Coffin had directed the first two Despicable Me films. Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul wrote the screenplay, with Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy producing for Universal Pictures and Illumination. Steve Carell voices both Gru and Dru, Kristen Wiig returns as Lucy, and Trey Parker voices Bratt. Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Nev Scharrel voice the girls.

The film was released in June 2017 and runs 90 minutes. Made for about 80 million dollars, it earned roughly 1.03 billion dollars worldwide, a return that placed it among the biggest animated releases of its year. On IMDb it holds 6.3 out of 10 from around 179,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.5 out of 10 from about 7,800 votes. A critics' score of 5.7 out of 10 across 194 reviews sits below both audience figures, so viewers rated it somewhat more warmly than reviewers did.
