C'est Si Bon is a South Korean comedy-drama set in the 1960s around a music hall of the same name, a venue tied to the beginnings of Korean folk music. A young man from the countryside, Oh Geun-tae, arrives in the city and meets two others, Lee Jang-hee and a third performer, and together they form a group that takes its name from the club where they play. Their bickering gives way to collaboration once they encounter Min Ja-young, a glamorous young woman from a wealthy background who becomes their muse, stirring them to write a string of love songs that bring them popularity. The story follows the trio from their early twenties onward, with older versions of the characters looking back on that period. The film is a fictionalized account of the real duo Twin Folio, adding Geun-tae as an invented third member.
Kim Hyun-seok directed and wrote the screenplay, his second feature after YMCA Baseball Team (2002) and before I Can Speak (2017). The cast splits the leads between younger and older performers: Jung Woo and Kim Yoon-seok as Geun-tae, Han Hyo-joo and Kim Hee-ae as Ja-young, and Jin Goo and Jang Hyun-sung as Jang-hee. Kang Myung-chan and Lee Woo-jeong produced.
The film runs 120 minutes. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.9 out of 10 from 18 votes, a small sample.
