- Filming took place from July 10th to October 3rd, 1995 in Vancouver, Canada and its surroundings – the small village of Tofino and the Purcell Mountains.
- Tora Birch and Vincent Kartheiser spent several months training with consultants hired by the filmmakers for sports and physical fitness, after which they performed all the stunts themselves.
