Jennifer Hills survived a brutal assault, wrote a bestselling book about the ordeal and the trial that followed, and now lives with the notoriety of a case that divided a small town. When she returns there with her daughter Christy, the relatives and associates of the men she killed during her revenge are still furious that the court found her not responsible. Led by a ruthless woman named Becky, they set out to settle the score themselves, turning the visit into a chase between the two women and their pursuers.
Meir Zarchi wrote and directed the film, returning to the story he first told in Day of the Woman in 1978, his only other credited directing work. Camille Keaton reprises the role of Jennifer, with Jamie Bernadette as Christy, Maria Olsen as Becky, and Jim Tavaré, Jonathan Peacy and Jeremy Ferdman in supporting parts. Terry Zarchi and Jan O'Connell produced.
The film runs 148 minutes and was released in April 2019. Its reception has been very poor: on IMDb it holds a rating of 2.4 from roughly 3,300 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 3 from about 160 votes. These figures place it far below the audience approval usually associated with the horror and thriller genres.
