- The character Dallas was developed as a roofer. The screenwriter Stephanie Fabrizi's sister and father run a roofing company. While preparing for the role, Erika Linder spent two weeks on rooftops with company employees.
- This was Erika Linder's debut in a feature film. Director April Mullen and producer Melissa Coglan decided that Linder should not take acting lessons before filming.
