The Strangers: Prey at Night
Short description
The Strangers: Prey at Night follows a family whose road trip turns into a night of terror. Cindy and Mike are taking their children, teenager Kinsey and her brother Luke, to stay at a relative's mobile home in a secluded trailer park before Kinsey is sent to boarding school. When they arrive, the place is strangely empty, and after dark three masked strangers begin a campaign of pursuit and violence against them, forcing each family member to fight for survival.
The film is a horror thriller directed by Johannes Roberts, working from a screenplay by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai. It came after Roberts's 47 Meters Down and before 47 Meters Down: Uncaged in his filmography, and it is a sequel to Bertino's earlier film about the same masked figures. Christina Hendricks and Martin Henderson play the parents, with Bailee Madison as Kinsey and Lewis Pullman as Luke, while Damian Maffei and Emma Bellomy appear among the masked intruders.
Made for about 13 million dollars, it grossed roughly 32 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.3 out of 10 from around 40,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.7 out of 10 from over 1,500 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 5 out of 10 from 124 reviews, so audiences and critics landed in similar territory.
