Short description
Pasqualino Frafuso, known in Naples as "Pasqualino Seven Beauties" is a petty thief who lives off of the profits of his seven sisters while claiming to protect their honor at any cost, Pasqualino is arrested for murder and later sent to fight in the army after committing sexual assault. The Germans capture him and he gets sent to a concentration camp where he plots to make his escape by seducing a German officer.
What's left behind the scenes
- The prototype for the character of Shirley Stoller (1929-1999) was Ilse Koch (1906-1967), known as the 'Buchenwald Witch.' The wife of the commandants of the Buchenwald and Majdanek concentration camps, Karl-Otto Koch (1897-1945), she was said to have derived pleasure from the suffering of prisoners. Furthermore, she was accused of ordering lampshades to be made from the skin of prisoners, although these specific accusations were never proven.
