Short description
Set in 1958, the coming of age story follows four lower middle-class Brooklyn teenagers known as The Lords of Flatbush. The Lords chase girls, steal cars, shoot pool, get into street fights, and hang out at a local malt shop.

- According to Stallone, he received 25 t-shirts as payment for his work on the film.
- The film's release was delayed by more than a year because the producers needed additional funding for editing and post-production.
- Stallone was allowed to improvise on set, and as a result, he added extra dialogue to the script.
- According to Stallone's recollections, Robert De Niro wanted to play the role of Chico, but ultimately declined in favor of filming "Slow Burn".
- Richard Gere was initially cast as Chico, but during production, he had constant clashes with Stallone, once escalating into a fight. As a result, the director replaced Gere with Perry King.
