The Concrete Jungle

A naive young woman is used by her boyfriend to carry drugs and is arrested for smuggling after cocaine is found on her. Sent to a women's prison, Elizabeth finds herself in a harsh environment where she has to learn quickly how to survive among hostile inmates and a system run on corruption.

The film was directed by Tom DeSimone, following his earlier features Chatterbox! and Hell Night. It was written by Alan J. Adler and produced by Billy Fine. Jill St. John plays the prison's warden, with Tracey E. Bregman as Elizabeth and BarBara Luna, June Barrett, Aimée Eccles and Sondra Currie among the credited cast of forty-three.

Released in the United States in October 1982 and running ninety-nine minutes, the crime drama drew a modest audience response. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from around 900 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 6 out of 10 from roughly 74 votes. The small number of votes on both services indicates a limited reach rather than a widely seen release.
