What's left behind the scenes

  • The film's title stands for Random Access. Version One.
  • The idea for the film came to the director six years ago while he was watching an advertisement on television. Anubhav Sinha said: “The advertisement featured two children controlling a person with a remote control. The advertisement looked interesting, and that image stayed with me for a long time.” Sinha wrote a short three-page story based on the advertisement, which he felt was good enough to make into a film.
  • Responding to reports of similarities to other films, Shah Rukh Khan said: “I drew inspiration from many superhero films, but despite this, the film is original. And, to be honest, it’s the first superhero film in the world where the superhero lives with a family.”
  • Young actor Armaan Verma had to go through several auditions before he was finally chosen for the role of Pratik.
  • Jackie Chan could have played the role that went to Tom Wu.
  • The voiceover in the game intro in the film belongs to Amitabh Bachchan.
  • The film contains 3500 frames with special effects.
  • The main character (G. One) is consistently shown with blue eyes. But before the song «Chamakh Challo», his eyes are brown, and when he starts singing, they turn blue again.
  • In the train scene, the first station he passes is Bandra. Then he passes Vile Parle station. And at the end, he crashes into CST station, which is actually located on the opposite side of the train's direction of travel.
  • In the film, the Karva Chauth festival takes place before the Vijayadashami festival. In reality, Vijayadashami takes place 10 days before Karva Chauth.
  • In the film, the train travels from Bandra station to CST station. This is the Harbour line in Mumbai. And no train on this line has twelve seats, as depicted in the film.
  • In the song "Criminal," the girl is wearing underwear with the word "crimnal" written on it (without the "i"). Later in the song, the error on the girl's underwear is corrected, and the word is spelled correctly.
