Children of the Corn: Runaway

Children of the Corn: Runaway is a horror thriller about a pregnant woman named Ruth who escapes a violent cult of children in a Midwestern town. After spending about a decade living in anonymity to protect her son from the traumas of her own childhood, she settles in a small town in Oklahoma. However, she soon discovers that a malevolent force has followed her, forcing her to confront this evil to save her child.

The film was directed by John Gulager, following his work on Feast, Piranha 3DD, and Zombie Night, and preceding Seven Cemeteries. The screenplay was written by Joel Soisson and produced by Michael Leahy for Dimension Films. The cast features Marci Miller in the role of Ruth, along with Jake Ryan Scott, Mary Kathryn Bryant, Lynn Andrews III, JR Hatchett, and Diane Ayala Goldner.

Released in March 2018 with a runtime of 82 minutes, the production involved a credited crew of 67 people. Audience reception was generally low, as reflected by a 3.8 rating on IMDb from 1,700 votes and a 4.6 rating on TMDB based on 86 votes.
