A flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong becomes the setting for a hijacking when armed criminals seize the aircraft. Among the passengers are Michelle Yip, a Hong Kong police officer with formidable martial arts skills, Japanese counter-terrorism officer Peter Yamamoto and flight security agent Michael Wong. Together they overpower the hijackers, killing their leader during the struggle, and the three are welcomed in Hong Kong as heroes. The men who flew with the dead gangster, however, treat his death as a debt that must be settled, and they begin exacting a violent revenge that draws in the people closest to the trio.
The film is a Hong Kong action production directed by David Chung, written by Tsang Kan-cheong and produced by John Shum Kin-Fun. It followed Chung's earlier work and preceded his 1988 film I Love Maria in his directing credits. Michelle Yeoh leads the cast as the inspector, with Hiroyuki Sanada as Yamamoto and Michael Wong as the security officer, alongside Pai Ying, David Lam Wai and Michael Chan Wai-Man as the criminals, across a credited cast of twenty-two.
Released in June 1986, the film runs ninety-six minutes and mixes action with crime drama and thriller elements. It holds a rating of 7 out of 10 on IMDb from around 2,500 votes, and 7.1 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller base of voters, indicating a solid reputation among viewers who have sought it out.
