What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on the Korean folk tale "Changhwa and Hongnyeon." In the original story, the sisters were named Changhwa (rose) and Hongnyeon (lotus). In the film, their names are Su-mi and Su-yeon.
- Lim Su-jeong, who plays Su-mi, originally auditioned for the role of Su-yeon.
- The characters of Kim Jun-ah and Lim Su-jeong hate each other in the film, but in real life the actresses are best friends.
