Before filming began, Jennifer Garner trained extensively, studying hand-to-hand combat, knife fighting, and the use of small firearms and rifles.
In the house scene, Jennifer Garner’s character grabs a Maxi-Pad from the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and uses it to cover her wound. They were originally invented for this purpose, as pads absorb blood well, and were later used as a hygiene product.
Shauna Duggins once again served as Jennifer Garner’s stunt double, and is also a friend. Garner and Duggins have been working together for 19 years.
In scenes where her character wears a short haircut, Jennifer Garner had to wear a wig.
The film's title reflects the name of an ice cream flavor that Riley's daughter orders right before she is shot.
