Evilenko

Set in the Soviet Union during the mid-1980s, the film follows Andrei Evilenko, a teacher who is dismissed from his job following an attempted assault on a student. A devoted communist disturbed by the political shifts of the era, Evilenko secures a position with the KGB, which allows him to travel and commit a series of brutal murders and sexual assaults against women and children. As he evades capture, detective Vadim Lesiev and psychiatrist Aron Richter work together to track down the killer.

Directed and written by David Grieco, this crime thriller stars Malcolm McDowell in the lead role, alongside Marton Csokas and Ronald Pickup. Produced by companies including Pacific Pictures and Jean Vigo Italia, the production had a budget of 10 million USD.
