Unsane

Sawyer Valentini has moved to a new city hoping to leave a troubled past behind and start over with a fresh job. Instead, she finds herself held against her will in a psychiatric facility, where she becomes convinced that the man who stalked her is among the staff. Staff members dismiss her account, and the authorities prove little help, leaving her to determine whether the threat she perceives is real or a product of her own mind.

Steven Soderbergh directed the film, working from a screenplay by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer. It is the twenty-fifth of the thirty-five features he has directed, arriving after Logan Lucky and before The Laundromat. Claire Foy plays Sawyer, with Joshua Leonard as David Strine, Jay Pharoah as Nate Hoffman, Juno Temple as Violet, Aimee Mullins as Ashley Brighterhouse and Amy Irving as Angela Valentini. Thirty-four cast members and eighty-seven crew members are credited, and Joseph Malloch produced.
