What's left behind the scenes

  • At the 76th minute of the film, when the main character delivers a toast, it’s visible that he is holding a wine glass with red wine, but in the next shot he is already holding a champagne glass with a different drink.
  • In one of the film's episodes, Richard, played by Johnny Depp, hears the ringing of bells on a university campus. This is a reference to a phrase from the English poet and preacher John Donne, "… do not ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee…". Later, viewers see Ernest Hemingway's novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls" (1940) on the screen, standing on a bookshelf in the main character's office.
