A middle-aged couple who own a fish store allow a mysterious young drifter into their lives. While the visitor initially awakens unexpected emotions in the pair, the situation turns tense when he begins a romantic affair with the wife. The couple's son notices the secret relationship and becomes determined to permanently remove the young man from their home to prevent the family from being destroyed.
