Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

Robin, Batman's sidekick and the leader of the Teen Titans, is frustrated that every major DC superhero has been given a feature film while his team has not. He sets out to change that, and the Titans travel to Hollywood hoping to land a movie of their own. Their plans run into an obstacle in the form of the villain Slade, who has ambitions of his own and pushes the young heroes off course.

The animated film is the first feature directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, who both went on to further work after it. Horvath also co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Jelenic, and Will Arnett, one of the producers, voices Slade. The main voice cast returns the regular players from the television series: Scott Menville as Robin, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire, among a credited cast of twenty-nine.

Made on a modest budget of around 10 million dollars, the film took in roughly 52 million dollars worldwide, a solid return on its cost. Audience response has been reasonably positive, with an IMDb rating of 6.7 from about 24,000 votes and a TMDB rating of 7.2 from around 1,200 votes.
