Dreamland

Set in 1930s Texas during the Dust Bowl, Dreamland follows teenager Eugene Evans, who dreams of escaping his struggling town. He discovers Allison Wells, a wounded bank robber on the run, hiding in his family's barn. A bounty is offered for her capture, and Eugene is torn between turning her in to save his family's farm and his growing fascination with her.

The film stars Finn Cole as Eugene and Margot Robbie as Allison, with Travis Fimmel, Kerry Condon, Darby Camp and Lola Kirke in supporting roles. It is directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte from a screenplay by Nicolaas Zwart, and is the first of the two features he has directed to date, ahead of The Good Mother. Robbie also produced through LuckyChap Entertainment, alongside Automatik Entertainment and Romulus Entertainment. The production is a British-American effort, and the film runs 98 minutes.

Released in November 2019, Dreamland drew modest responses. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.7 from around 721 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 5.9 from roughly 280 votes. A critics' rating of 5.5 from 35 reviews places it close to the audience scores, indicating a generally mixed reception across both groups.
