Young and Dangerous 3

Young and Dangerous 3 continues the Hong Kong triad saga, with Chan Ho Nam and his Hung Hing brothers facing a new threat from the rival Tung Sing triad. Tung Sing is trying to expand its influence in Hong Kong, and its member Crow sets up Ho Nam to take the fall for the murder of Hung Hing chairman Chiang Tin Sang. The conflict forces the gang into a struggle over territory, loyalty and survival. At the same time, Chicken meets Wasabi, the daughter of the eccentric priest Father Lethal Weapon Lam, and a romance develops alongside the violence. The film is directed by Andrew Lau Wai-Keung and written by Manfred Wong Man-Chun and Chau Ting, with Ronald Wong producing. It is the fifth of the twenty-five films Lau has directed in chronological order, following Young and Dangerous 2 earlier in 1996 and preceding Young and Dangerous 4 in 1997. Ekin Cheng Yee-Kin returns as Chan Ho Nam, with Jordan Chan as Chicken, Roy Cheung as Crow, Karen Mok Man-Wai as Lam Shuk Fan, Gigi Lai Chi as Smartie and Simon Yam as Boss Chiang Tin-Sung among a credited cast of twenty-one. On IMDb the film holds a 6.6 rating from around 1,400 votes, and on TMDB it has a 6.5 from a smaller group of 54 voters, indicating a modest but consistent level of approval from viewers who have sought it out.
