Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors

Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors brings together a group of young Marvel characters who have little in common beyond their powers. When an unexpected threat closes in on the Marvel Universe, Kamala Khan, Doreen Green, Daisy Johnson, America Chavez and their allies have to work as a team, even though none of them has been trained for anything on this scale. Much of the story turns on Gwen Stacy, who is accused of killing a friend, and the young heroes set out to find her and stop her.

The film is an animated television movie from Marvel Animation, directed by Alfred Gimeno and written by Mairghread Scott. It sits second in Gimeno's directing credits, between Monster High: Fright On! and the later Marvel Rising titles Chasing Ghosts and Heart of Iron. The voice cast includes Kim Raver as Carol Danvers, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Milana Vayntrub as Doreen Green, Kathreen Khavari as Kamala Khan, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez and Ming-Na Wen as Hala the Accuser.

At 80 minutes, it mixes action and comedy with family-friendly adventure. Audience scores are modest and broadly in line with each other: on IMDb it holds 5.4/10 from around 1,450 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.4/10 from roughly 130 votes.
