- The film recounts real events. The father of Preyn's lawyers attempted to prevent the film's release, even though it received the Jury Grand Prix (Silver Bear) at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. The defense focused on the presumption of innocence, but the court ruled that the film could be released, as the accused had already admitted guilt in the seduction of several dozen boys.
